Manawatu Golf Club member Josh Munn has carded a one under par 71 at the Guadalajara Country Club to record a top 10 finish at the Mexican Amateur.
The 21-year-old, who made a name for himself last year when he won the ask>metro Muriwai Open on the Charles Tour, managed rounds of 72, 74, 73 and 71 to finish in a share of ninth place.
The Srixon Academy member finished on a two over par total of 290, 13 shots back from champion Sebastian Vazquez of Mexico..
It was a good performance from Munn, whose other highlights in 2012 include leading the Manawatu – Wanganui team to victory at the SBS Invitational and a fourth place at Muriwai in his title defence.
