CONDITIONS
1. Entries
a. The field is limited to 96 players. Top 78 men and 18 women. Players will be balloted out based on highest handicap first.
b. The organising committee reserves the right to alter the above numbers in the field.
c. Entries must be received by 5.00pm, Thursday 11 March 2010, at the Manawatu Golf Club, 19 Centennial Drive, Palmerston North. Please allow time for postage.
d. The entry fee of $100.00 (incl GST) shall be payable on entering and covers the four tournament rounds, practise on Friday 19 March and lunches on both Saturday and Sunday.
e. There will be no refunds for players absent on the first day of the tournament
2 Rules of Play: The Rules of play shall be the Rules of Golf, and the local rules of the Manawatu Golf Club on the day.
3 Ties: A tie for first place in both the Men’s and Women’s divisions will be decided by a sudden death playoff. All other ties will be decided by countback.
4 Starting times: Players shall start at the time and in the order arranged by the organising committee. Failure to do so by a player will result in disqualification as set out in rule 33-7. If special circumstances warrant a waiving of this rule, the penalty shall be 2 strokes instead of disqualification.
5 Disputes: Any dispute or protest must be lodged in writing with the convener of the rules committee within 15 minutes of the completion of a round in which the disputed matter has arisen.
6 Registration: Registration will be available from 10am on Friday 19 March. Registration must be completed no later than 30 minutes before your first round tee off time.
7 Practise rounds: Practise round times for Friday 19 March can be booked by contacting the Manawatu Golf Club on 06 357 8793 or by email office@manawatugolfclub.com
8 Confirmation of Entry and Draws: Confirmation of entries received will be available at the Manawatu golf club website: www.manawatugolfclub.com. Draws will be posted on the website on Monday 15th March and published in the Manawatu Standard on Thursday 18th March. All entrants that provide email addresses with their entry will be emailed a copy of the draw.
9 Prize Presentation: As with all tournaments it is important that all competitors show respect to the winners and sponsors by remaining behind after the golf on Sunday for the prize presentation. This will take place immediately following the final cards being entered into the computer.
